The Leafs don't have the long term cap for Hamilton, also for 8 years! Matthews and Marner's contract will expire in 3-4 years and we won't be able to offord them unless the take 8-10m each which if anything they'll want 11-12m

Winnipeg needs real top 4 D, not bottom pairing guys that you can use in a top 4 situation if you are desperate.

I’d actually be a fan of this but I can’t see hyman signing for that and we need a better goalie to pair with Campbell so this would be difficult to fit under the cap.

Many hawks fans have said over multiple posts that we aren't all that interested in Rielly. I'm not sure why leaf's fans are so excited to move him as well. Certainly from a Chicago point of view we arent sacrificing a couple of long-term assets for a late 2nd and one year of Rielly + whatever value leaf's fans think Kerfoot has...
