Comparing Provorov and Dunn in any way shape or form is just dumb no matter how you slice it.

Most of Vince Dunn’s value at even strength comes from his defensive play. Yes Vince dunn has a lot of skill, which is why he’s on the powerplay.

Evaluating D based on ice time and ozone starts is dumb. Dunn has been the better defenseman over the last 3 years.

going to the other part of this one; I would not do that deal with Jersey. It's not even about compensation as much as it is there's no way I'm trading JVR to a division rival. We would have to be in absolute panic mode or way over the cap and desperate to find anyone to help give us relief (which we're not).

I don't see enough western conference hockey to comment on the Dunn argument.

I'll just say good job at least trying to make some semblance of a reasonable team. The other iterations are usually way off in terms of overvaluing UFA's and undervaluing players being traded for.

I definitely think Dunn would be a huge pick up, def an underrated talent and if he can be had, you get him.

The numbers show that he is sheltered defensively and was by no means anything special defensively. Even Provy had a better CF% and started 16% more in the D zone.
