Here’s my official complaint.

I'm sure Calgary would love to trade both of their top 6 centers for a winger and Alex Kerfoot. That seems very reasonable and well thought out.

Idk how this is a lose for Calgary at all. You could argue Mangipane might be slight worth more than Kerfoot right now, but with Kerfoot's versatility and proven playoff experience, that margin is extremely slim at best. Rielly is worth far more than Hanifin who just hasn't lived up to expectations of a 5th overall pick at all. And Marner is already worth more than Lindholm, let alone adding in Monahan who has already been criticized for being a poor core piece and someone who can't lead or produce when needed. You're probably gonna sit there and use Marner's playoffs against him, but before you do that remember that Marner has still produced more than both of Lindholm and Monahan in playoffs.

Value's not there at all for Toronto. Calgary walks outta this laughing if they got offered it.

sorry, Mangipane isn't worth more than Kerfoot right now. Long term he may be, but right now it's about equal. Put Kerfoot in the same spot that Mangipane was in all season and Kerfoot blows by Mangipane. Hard for Kerfoot to produce when he played with the likes of Pierre Engvall, Ilya Mikheyev, Wayne SImmonds, etc. all season long.

Monahan is almost worth nothing right now. Good job on that one. A guy that's never lived up to expectations, doesn't come through when his team needs his the most time and time again, and has been on the decline for 2 seasons now. Sorry that doesn't scream a ton of value at all on the trade market.

Lindholm has never even had over a point per game season where Marner's had 3 straight. The guy tries to use the positional argument of Lindholm playing centre over Marner being a winger as a way to justify that Lindholm is equal to Marner which is just a lame excuse at trying to find any way to justify something that's clearly wrong. When there's that much of a gap in offensive production, the positional debate is useless.

Oh and then he says that Mangipane is >>> Kerfoot when they both produce at about the same rate and Kerfoot is a centre. So wouldn't that give the advantage to Kerfoot by his own standard from the Lindholm/Marner debate? Seems like a double standard to me that when his favourite team's player is worth less, he can justify it. But when it's the other way around it's not justifiable.

Hallander was a late 2nd, almost 3rd. Realistically Mikheyev is a third liner at best who has 0 playoff points in 12 games. If you bump that 3rd up to a 1st then Ottawa might say yes but that’s a bad return as is. Easy decline.

Do I think Lindholm at less than 5M is just as valuable as Marner at 10.9M? 100%. You obviously have no idea how good Hanifin was this year. The fact that you think Kerfoot is even remotely as good as Mangiapane is laughable
