The brighter the lights get, the worse he plays. Lights dont get any brighter than toronto. Also just not the style of d man toronto needs.

The bruins played Carolina back to back years in the playoffs. I think Carolina won one game between the two years. It was ridiculous show much hamilton was abused. Puck was always dumped in his corner. He’s best in a small market where he isn’t the top defensemen. Guys a heck of a fantasy d man, but he isn’t a top guy on any cup contender. I think he’s the third best d man on his team.

He's a good player, but he's going to be paid like a franchise player and he isn't one. Nothing against CAR, but it's nothing like his previous two stops in the league. Like you said, he's not one to step up when the spotlight is on him

The eye test says, “dear god Hamilton can’t play in tight checking games.” There’s just no argument that hamilton is better than those guys at anything but powerplay. Worth noting both those d men are putting up points at a higher clip, and are in a different class defensively.
