Description

I went with a trade to highlight even if the Rags overpaid, IMO they still come out on top. Got creative and added a prospect swap Nils for Quinn, which I think could work out for the Rags - Schneider in the system and Foz and Trouba - the right side looks great. Added some toughness. Don't know if Arizona would go for a Howden for Crouse. Maybe they add something more. Gudbranson not great, but adds size and toughness - they need that. Goligoski is a smart d man and can play both sides.

Eichel wants out. You aren't gonna get full value for him. We already know he wants out. Buffalo has been known to make stupid trades in a tight spot anyway. So I'm thinking your out of luck.

Sabres don’t need to add anything valuable when they trade Eichel. Especially not recent first round pick. Olofsson, Thompson or Girgensons May be added.

I agree with @Sabres923. I see no world where Sabres add anything other than a cap balance or contract balance in a Eichel deal.

No way the Rangers trade Laffy. Buffalo can keep Jack and his bulging neck disk. Rangers don't need him, and especially not at that price. Until proven otherwise, Eichel is damaged goods. Any team that trades for him before he is given a clean bill of health gets what they deserve.

You kinda have the idea right tho with Mika moving

Mika + Schneider + 21’ 1st for Eichel. Whether it’s Mika to a 3rd team or whatever you’re likely to get 2 1sts equivalent value for him. That’s basically what your initial ask was.

Getting eichel with zibanejad defies the whole point we’re looking for a 1-2 punch and other wise it’s just getting another 1C with giving one up. Nils has far more value than Quinn and has proven way more in his pre nhl stints so far. The rangers have also cooled off on eichel and it’s been said by multiple times people that laf isn’t in the discussion no matter what.
