We have Bennett currently comfortably slotted as 2C, and Lundell will take that spot in a year or two, then RNH will be stuck on the wing again

That’s the thing.... they don’t worry about “what if” because right now, they have Barkov. and Bennett has been amazing for Florida. They are fine. That 7M could solve other issues, rather than be used on an unnecessary 2C.

Adding Tavares made Kadri expendable. Kadri allowed us to get a RHD. It didn’t end up working out unfortunately, but at the time was a good trade.

I’d be okay with this. He can play wing too like he’s done in edm once lundell makes the jump to bonafide 2c and Bennett can slide to 3c or a wing as well.

If barkov walks the panthers are at the very least retooling.

Bennet has been amazing.
Acciari is good.
Verhaghe is good.
Heponiemi is good.

Explain to me how there’s a big hole there ?

If anything, they should sign a rental and save cap to resign Barkov.
