I think this is an overpay. I know Schmidt didn't have a great season but he was real good for Vegas. I'm going to chalk it up as a down year and if Schmidt is traded, I don't think it should be for 1 year of Dumba. Schmidt can play either side, which gives us flexibility in free agency or on the trade front to find a defenceman on either side. I'm not against trading Schmidt, I just think it's the wrong trade with the wrong team.

well i will admit this more of a bounce back season for him i still this is a peak for him, and i really don't think he moves the needle, Myers had the same amount of points this year as him, and 10 less hits, he really is just a smaller version of myers not only that Myers was playing on a dumpsterfire of a team while Dumba was playing on a playoff team he really doesn't impress me way rather use the cap space to go after a guy like savard, i think there is way better options for #1RHD this offseason
