So who is everyone cheering for in the 2nd round? Mine are:

MTL - Duh.
VGK - I like Colorado. However, they’re going to be contenders for a really long time. They have a massive window to win, and can easily win the cup at any point in the next decade. Vegas’s window is not nearly as wide. Vegas has Pacioretty, which makes me like them more. Plus Vegas would be easier for the habs to match up against if it gets to that.
CAR - I really like the Hurricanes, and I’d be cheering for them anyways. But that is really emphasized now that they’re playing Tampa Bay, who almost all of their players have won the cup. Carolina would probably be the 2nd team I’m cheering for that’s left.
NYI - I like them a bit more than the Bruins. Plus Bergeron, Marchand, Krejci, and Rask already have a cup ring.

Yeah, whoever comes out of the North will play the Avs, and Carolina or Tampa will play Boston or New York I. If the Canes advance, we will be facing one of the teams we faced in 2019. CAR vs NYI would be much more interesting this year though. Tampa is also familiar with both teams from their cup run last year.
