Détails additionnels:
CBJ claim they want a 1c. imo Torts wont be back and theyll go for a more "player friendly" coach. Kuzy playing with Laine would be a pretty solid top line.

imo Kuzy is worth more but im tryingto avoid the "Kuzy is overrated" crowd.... which is 90% of this site lol

Sammy is worth a 1st/2nd but capitals are eating a lot of cap also so i made it a 1st + prospect

Oiler cap hit goes up by roughly 3million after Sammy signs

Capitals trade Wilson to free up Cap space and remove a player that seems to draw a lot of negative attention

could you do

Wilson for Broberg and Blume

Sammy for a 2nd and a 3rd ?

I'm not sure the Capitals want to be waiting a year and two years for their return on investment: Edmonton doesn't have its 2nd or 3rd round picks this year, and is very, very likely to lose its 2022 3rd to the Devils once the Oilers mop the Jets in the first round.

I think the highest I go is Blumel, Samorukov, 2021 1st, and 2022 2nd. I'd really like to be getting a small piece back with Samsonov and Wilson though, or even some modest retention on Wilson.

you could get lucaJo? capitals have so many LHD. that deal looks solid esp if Blumel is doing that well

On an entirely side note from the main thrust of this post and the main thread of this discussion, the Arizona trade is very reasonable in light of the fact that Arizona has a third protection slot for a defenseman open.

i initially wanted to trade Schultz but idk if his cap hit/ term would be something they would be interested in

I think Arizona's financial situation is seriously overblown, but I do think that they're looking more toward the future, i.e., would prefer both term and the possibility of re-signing after expiration, which fits Jensen more than Schultz.

I really like the price of kuzy. Good value for both. We would just need to get a shutdown guy like danault in free agency. With moving out more money of course.

i mean it could also be a wake up call. he is comfortable bc he is buddies with all the big name guys in Washington. Hard to say but mild risk imo high reward if he pays off

I'm not sure how "mild" the risk would be considering his contract's term if he does end up becoming a problem. We could *afford* to do an emergency "sell low" with that price, but if he screws up another team, it's an open question as to whether or not anyone would take him from us.

It'd depend on what other moves we could get away with making in the offseason, I think. (My rule of thumb with Kuzy is "thanks but no thanks", but I'm trying to envision situations where it might work, just in case.)

I was going to say small risk high return but realized that would be a lie so swapped it to mild risk lol
