It is a bit early to jump the gun, but he's on track to have a great career. I see what you're saying though.

I'm thinking for the guys under 30 you have listed it is too early to tell other than McDavid. He truly does seem like a lock to make it. Couple bad years could change a lot for the under 30s. Most guys you have under 30 haven't won anything either.
I think Tavares is a stretch as well. As much as I love the guy. Unless he leads his team to a cup, what has he done to prove he belongs there?
Kessel will make it I think. Just with the cup wins, durability, cheeseburgers etc.
Out of your questionable list, I'm going with most of them eventually get in with the exception of Suter and Pavelski.

I would talk about how some of these guys are questionable picks but Clark Gillies and Guy Carboneau are in the HOF so who knows

Eh I'd not be so sure. Either way, he'll be under .8 points per game and is an anchor both defensively and in possession. There are plenty of far better players with far more points that aren't in the HOF.

Perry won a Hart and a cup but I don't think makes the HOF. Cheechoo won a Rocket. At this point Kuch hasn't had enough sustained success to make it. One, Two more seasons and sure.

Not convinced on Getzlaf and Tavares either.

kessel staal tavares weber burns getzlaf and anyone under 30 not named mcdavid are questionable at best. being pretty good for a long time doesn’t mean you’re in, and most of those guys are lacking in the hardware department. kopitar is fringe because his only personal hardware is a byng (who cares) and a couple selkes. i doubt anyone in ltir comes close
