One "final run"? You make it sound like theyve had runs before with this core lol

Tampa would never do that trade. Maybe in the offseason for cap reasons, but no way at the deadline.

For Avs I'd prefer to move a 3rd for Bernier.

Lol you're absolutely right🤣

Also the killorn trade would be an offseason move, only rittich and Ryan moves are at TDL. While we're here, do you think you guys would be interested in Rittich?

Rittich wohld be like Plan F, if we've missed out on Bernier, Reimer, Raanta, Ullmark, or Wedgewood.

bad hockey player. plays really bad in his own end, has shown in the last week he cant kill penalties, wants to play c but doesnt win draws, needs offensive zone starts but then cant stay in the offensive zone when he gets them. flames fans love his physical game but dont ever pick up on how out of position he is to make those hits.

Thats fair. He can be swapped out with really any other 4th liner. He will be an NHLer next year though, GMs are stupid enough to still consider draft pedigree even 8 years on

1. Bennett wont be on the team next year, either traded or Seattle.
2. Gio probably wont be top 4 next year
3. Hjalmarsson is not leaving Arizona for Calgary
4. Valimaki?
5. At least 3 of Calgary's prospects have a good shot of maming the starting lineup next year; Gawdin, Pelletier, and Zary

1. I think most possible scenario with Bennett is unqualified free agent
3. We don't know that, money talks
4. SHOOT I FORGOT
5. I think those 3 are ahl, Phillips is more ready

1. He probably gets moved at the deadline, wont ve surprised if Burky offers a 2nd for him. If not hes a pretty good bet for Seattle.
3. Hjalmarsson refused to waive his NTC for anyone, its as simple as he probably wants to retire there over going to freezing cold Calgary.
4. Phillips is a smurf, like 5'7 is smaller than Gaudreau. He probably play a bottom 6 role in the NHL. I feel like he will ebd up like Bracco did for the Leafs. Zary was pretty dominant in his AHL stint thia year the Hwat have done marginally worse without him. Pelletier seems ready. Gawdin will be NHL ready by next year

I dont see why Seattle would want Bennett though

Yeah I had Gawdin and Pelletier, however I think calgarys gonna make a last effort with this core right now and Killorn/Zajac would be good additions who would push out the rookies. You could probably replace Bennett and Phillips with Gawdin and Pelletier though

The signings of Markstrom and Tanev should be the one last run with this core, if they're not getting it together this season adding a few more middling pieces won't make a difference next season, something has seemed rotten with this group for awhile now, it's time to blow it up.

Bennett has shown sparks multiple times and plays with a sense of purpose. Hes one of those low risk high reward types. William Karlsson was a 20-25 point player when Vegas took him. Sometimes all it takes is a good change of scenery

Bennett is also a liability due to his proclivity for taking OZ penalties.

Fair point. Just looked at his game log this season and it checks out. Only 17 PIM's this season in 13:35 TOI in 34 GP isn't bad. Looks like he had a fight or major penalty at one point too which inflates those PIM's as well.
