Driedger is a UFA - if Florida doesn’t trade him (which they definitely should be keeping him) they’ll likely just use him as their own “UFA rental”.

If he won’t extend then that’s probably best to see if they can do some damage in the playoffs with Barkov and company.

Seattle could not select him unless they have a notion that he’d sign a contract with them. Or the select him anyways to be safe then he hits UFA or signs.

Either way I doubt we see any move involving Driedger until the seasons done. He’d cost more then a second either way.

The Kings will very likely re-sign Iafallo. They don't have anyone NHL ready in the organization to take his spot on the top line. It doesn't make sense to let him walk. I expect an extension to be announced in the next week or two.

He's all about that surfing life too, so I expect him to want to stick around.

The generally accepted value, at least among us SoCal fans, is that Iafallo or Rakell with 50% retention is worth Timothy Liljegren plus your 2021 first, plus or minus a little. Many offers include Kerfoot as a way of improving Toronto's cap situation. I think that those are reasonable parameters.

Bob has played more games this season that Dreidger and they would be forced to protect bob because of his nmc so they might lose him for nothing, but now that I think about it they might be better off using him as their very own ufa rental.
