Why did I think the salty wings fans dissapeared.

You going to contribute any content to this ACGM or just be a troll?

Explain how missing 15+ games a season for the majority pf his career isn’t injury prone

Quoting: coga16
Nah I’m realistic, it’s like saying you would trade seider and a 1st for drouin. You want to go barking up that tree

Three injuries, all from fighting. Witkowski fight, Nemeth fight, and Muzzin’s hip toss. You don’t want Mantha that’s fine, everyone has an opinion but at least provide some context for your statement. Let’s also not compare your Seider + 1st comparison as they’re wildly different and extremely obvious to even the casual hockey fan.

Newhook hasn't played a single NHL game....not 1.

Must have missed the rule change that ncaa players are allowed to play in the nhl

So you are deflecting about the injury comments bc you can’t give me a reason how missing that much time almost every year in his career isn’t injury prone?

Newhook yes please, We don't need Johnson as our RD is our future strength, Too bad Colorado still Didn't have Zadarov. Newhook+Zadarov+Colorado's 2021 2nd would be outstanding.

Johnson's contract is a primary reason why Newhook is even there in the first place. Not that I would do this trade honestly, I'm just playing with ideas.

One of the top prospects in the entire nhl for an inconsistent and injury prone winger. Yeah it’s an awful trade and would be one of the worst in avs history

Mantha was healthy scratched this year, let’s not like he’s a stud

I didn't realise he'd been healthy scratched... :o

Injuries are injures, you can justify them all you want but he’s constantly getting injured, that is what being prone to injuries are

yea just a preview of the rest of his career. size and talent is only going to take him so far. he's going to have to work at some point.

Injury prone isn't even worth discussing...it simply means you don't know what you're talking about.

Fact is, that is a solid attempt at a Mantha trade, both in value and context.

If only there was a way to stop fighting. That’s a tough one. You ever take physics in high school or college? Do you know how much pressure is required to break a rib or how to leverage a slew foot body slam with your entire body weight falling on the opposing player’s ribs?

Just like when Jimmy D called him out in Grand Rapids and he worked his way to the NHL. What else did your crystal ball tell you?

what do you think injury prone is, bc hes not trying to get injured that hes not prone to it?
The style of game he plays, he is prone to get injured....and he has been getting injured. Thus Injury prone.

You guy are acting like I am calling him a scumbag or something saying he is prone to be injured, which he is with the way he plays. That is just reality you cant take back the incidents and the missed games for him to warrant that label. A guy who has been as injured as he has in his career and the amount of surgeries he has, they dont typically age getting healthier

I should say Landeskog is also injury prone bc he plays a heavy game as routinely missed time due to injuries.

Fighting isn’t his style of play. He’s not Reaves. It’s a simple solution, don’t fight and those three injuries go away. He’s not even a great fighter especially for his size but when people taking liberties on Larks he goes after them (pretty sure 2 of the 3 resulted from hits on Larks). He stylistically is a sniper that finds soft spots in the defense but can play physical but I wouldn’t call him a power forward unless we’re using a loose definition of the term but I guess people have been watering down the term for modern hockey. The injuries aren’t long term and don’t linger (broken finger/rib). I can’t think of a single player that caused there career to spiral because of those injuries: it’s not back or knee injuries. Landeskog does play a heavy game that would fit the description.

It’s all good, hard to tell when some joke on here as everyone has widely different opinions which is fine if they can support them. Look forward to seeing the ACGM, I should have another out this week. Takes a bit longer as I pull a bit of detail in the team description to backup contracts/FA signings.

Both sides pass. Mantha is obviously a guy the Wings would want to keep and build around/alongside, and he isn't a great need nor comes with the requisite 'Wow! factor' for the Avs to make the trade.
