Description

A Manitoba boy that I heard wants to play here and would make a great partner for Morrissey
He is indigenous so he can be used to sell and develop the game in the province
He is playing pretty good in Vancouver again after recovering from his injury.
Traded within Canada so no quarantine.
Trade deadline getting closer
Makes a great avatar!
So what the hell is the issue?
My guess is that someone in management doesn't want him- maybe the DeMelo signing? if this is the issue then time to bury the hatchet.

"Why isnt Hamonic in a Jets uniform". Could be the Jets didn't think he provided good value. Even his old club the Flames preferred to sign Tanev than Hamonic.
Just wonder if Hamonic didn't misjudge free agency, like Taylor Hall. The money dried up pretty soon.

Regardless of what the reason was behind not signing him as a FA. It’s time for the Jets to make some adds. Ekholm and hamonic and they’re set for a deep run.

You can run:

Ekholm-Pionk
Morrissey-Hamonic
Forbort-Demelo

That’s a stacked dcore. The team is clearly good enough to make it out of the North, no reason to not add now Chevy. Especially the ekholm deal since he has to quarantine.

Hamonic is definitely a good choice for RHD and should come fairly reasonable. I think a third should do it. Acquiring Ekholm should happen soon. I don't mind giving up a 1st, Vesalainen and Niku. Personnally I would put in Poolman instead of DeMelo

So would I, but we both know how management is, won’t accept when they’ve made a mistake and will continue to try and put the guy in places to succeed to make the deal look better. Plus they had demelo with Morrissey and Maurice had some very odd comments in regards to the decision as to why he made that change.

It’s time to move on from vesalainen and Niku. The team just won’t give either guy a sustained chance in the lineup.

Wouldn't give up on Vesalainen just yet, Wheeler is clearly in decline and the prospect pool isn't exactly full and Vesalainen isn't a runt like so many of the other Jets forwards.

Copy that link and go look at the tweet, essentially said pairing Morrissey and demelo was a matchup issue, but said that was about as grey as he can make it and that not everyone is 100%.

I think Savard from CBJ would be a better pickup than Hamonic. Savard is a better right-handed defenseman and is also on an expiring contract. He would cost more but would be a better contributor.

The reasons I am not going after Savard is the contract. It would cost even more because WPG would need ask Columbus to retain some of the salary. Don't get me wrong I would take Savard but it would really depend on what WPG would have to give up.
