Three Team Trade and more

Description
The Nuge trade is based off of the Pageau deal in essence.

The values are probably off on most, if not all of these trades but what do we all know, dare I say again, we are all garbage wannabe general managers anyway.

I can understand the Kuemper trade being a rip off, but do you care to go in depth on the trades or.....?

Sure, Oilers dont need more right wings in the system, all we got is right wings and D. A late 1st and a late 2nd. No way I do that package as an Oilers gm
3rd round pick for Glendening, try a 6th or 7th round pick. Otherwise forget it. 4th line players have crap value, he is good at faceoffs and that is it.
Gusev is really a 3rd line player so a one for one deal is what it should be.

I'm not sure whether you're overvaluing the heck out of Lavoie, or you just haven't really followed any goaltending trades, but you are incorrect.

Prove it. Lehner is the only goalie in the past 10 years to even get a 1st

The one for one with Gusev I can get behind, however I can tell you have no watched or read anything about Glendening beyond his faceoff percentage. It is about his ability to provide effective two-way hockey, prompt more successful zon exits and be a reliable penalty killer. You easily pay a 3rd for that. Otherwise, have fun with Turris, Haas, or Khaira. Also, Legare is not for the Oilers, he is for the Ducks in this scenario. Ideally it saves the Oilers from parting with a prospect of their own for Rakell. The picks are then flipped in deals for Rakell and Kuemper, two pieces that would greatly benefit the Oilers. While Nuge is a fan favorite in Edmonton, his lack of 5-on-5 scoring against any team not named the Senators and the Oilers lack of identity revolving where to play him and Draisaitl, Rakell solidifies himself as a winger to play with either McDavid or Leon and is on a cheap, two-year deal which is more affordable then whatever you give Nuge. Does that make sense now? We can quibble over draft picks all day but the players and part are not far off.

He is referring to my original Kuemper trade, which had a 2nd round pick added on.

Oh sorry, nine years ago that trade happened. Did he get a monster prospect as well, Everywhere Lavioe goes, he tears it up. Kuemper is often injured and has played one season as a starter.

I don't think I'll spend too much time doing your work for you, but here's a couple off the top of my head:
-Martin Jones for SJ's first and Sean Kuraly (Who was considered a solid prospect at the time).
-Frederik Andersen for TOR's 1st (Sam Steel) and 2nd (Maxime Comtoissssss!!!!!)

Lavoie is generally seen as a one dimensional prospect. While goal scoring is very necessary and very valuable, players like Lavoie are no guarantees. Daniel Sprong rings a bell. In Kuemper's 10 year career, he has only been below a .905% three times, twice in Minnesota I believe. He has been above average for the past 4 of 5 seasons, particularly the past 3 in Arizona. That is more than the Oilers goalies could ever say this decade, excluding Talbot maybe.

Lavoie is tearing up the 2nd division in Sweden, which is equivalent to a slightly better ECHL. I'm not saying he's a bad prospect, but he ain't as good as you cool cats keep trying to make him out to be.

And has played one full season. Thats it. The trade was a 1st, 2nd, Lavioe who is exactly what the Oilers need (somebody to wing McDavid) and I am not paying that for 30 games, I can pick up a goalie in free agency for nothing.

Yup he sure is, he tore up Junior as well. Which is a good thing. As long as he tears up everywhere he plays is good for me.

It's closer to AHL. SHL is a cut above AHL and SHL teams get relegated to Allsvenskan while the top Allsvenskan teams can move up to SHL every year. So Allsvenskan isn't as good as a league, but it's not a full step down from SHL which is, again, better than the AHL.

If you’re not willing to pay for a goaltender than no matter if Lavoie is the second coming of Jesus or not, you are not winning anything with McDavid

Never said that, I am not willing to overpay for a goalie. That is exactly what I said. A late late 1st and B prospect and cap back is what I will pay

Equivalency rating is around 0.3, AHL is 0.45, ECHL is slightly above 0.2
