I mean, Eichel is probably a 100-110pt player. Suzuki may very well become a 80pts player. Adding Caufield to that mix is too much. The guy could score 30-40g a year.

Not sure, but caufield is who buffalo would rather have.

We have Samuelson, Lasskonen, Joki, Dahlin, Johnson as our future D core. I’d rather take caufield. We need goals.

And BTW I think the sabres owners are against Russians. The last time we’ve had a Russian was 2016-17 (Kulikov for one season). And before that was Zadorov who last played for buffalo in 2014-15

I think romanov has more value, but the sabres have lots of d prospects, and after cozens, quinn, and peterka- not sure if the pipeline has any potential top 6 forwards.

You kill the deal by adding Byron. That alone costs Caufield or Romanov. Then add what it would take for Eichel.

I never said that. That was somebody else. Including him in this trade brings the value down. Nobody wants to pay him that contract, that’s for sure.
