He also hasn't been tried in that spot on the current PP yet, so you can't know if he'll shoot more or not.

The Ovi spot is where Dumba has been all year once the PP gets setup. I'm not a fan of the Spurgeon/Dumba combo at all. Spurgeon just can't make clean accurate passes this year.

On the second unit, yes. I'm talking about putting him on the first unit and telling him to shoot.

This ties into my whole point. I agree Spurgeon shouldn't be on the PP.

Kaprizov-Ek-Fiala
Dumba-Suter/Brodin

Greenway-whoever-whoever
Zuccarello-Brodin/Suter

It's a simple fix that improves both units

Well it was something like Spurgeon, Dumba, Fiala, Kaprizov, and Parise (at center) to start the season; that was a disaster.

The Zucc, Kaprizov, Fiala, Suter, and JEE PP has looked decent so far. I think Suter slows it down too much, but it's not like they can practice it with such a tightly packed games schedule. If nothing happens in the next couple of games then I'd switch up Zucc and Dumba.

Fiala has been stuck in no-mans land so far this year for linemates. I think he's adjusting to playing with other skill players.

Fiala's shot has looked a bit off this season too. Seems he can't really place it where he wants, maybe a lack of confidence. Last year he was sniping everything. This year he's shooting a lot, but it seems a lot of his shots aren't getting to the corners he wants. But that's another conversation entirely.

you can at least get retention on the Rakell trade from the Ducks, probably over paid for him a bit, then again maybe the Ducks are gonna need to be overpaid to give McDavid a good scoring winger when he’s in the same division

He looks like he pressing and has had to be a 1 man show in the o-zone for his line way too often this year.

You’ll take him, and you’ll like him

Then why are you trying so hard to sell him?

Because we can’t afford his next contract and the absolute blockage it’d cause on PP1 for bouch. Especially when bouch is on his ELC
Each passing good game the fan base grows hungry to sign him and it’s the last thing I want

Wild don't need or want him dude. Tyson berry isn't playing on wild. To think wild would give anything for free agent Tyson berry and A d who wild don't need is comical

Minnesota's PP is absolutely brutal. You're kidding yourself if you don't think they need help. Barrie's a PP specialist

Joe Pavelski has more power play goals this season than the Wild, special teams become increasingly more valuable in the playoffs that was the thought process.
Humming at 6.9ish% is unsustainable

That’s too much for Rakell. Edmonton is trading a lights out scorer a second pairing defence and a first for Rakell. Those pieces have more benefit than Rakell.

Well according to you every team should make a trade for PowerPoint. Dude get real. It's about coaching.

Every team needs a competent power play in the playoffs, I’m not arguing with you if the Wild need Barrie specifically, I just thought for a team that looks like a play off team could use him as a PP threat. You’re spelling an weird phrasing doesn’t bode well for the legitimacy of any of ur arguments though.

It's been bloody painful to watch the Wild PP most of the season. I put that mostly on the coaches not putting the players in a positions to succeed. The players like Parise, MarJo, Bjugstad, Bonino, and Spurgeon haven't been good enough either, but if the well is dry for a player it's dry. The coaching staff needs to make changes, not keep running the same failed groups/setup, or just give up and play your 3rd and 4tf lines on the PP because it's their turn though the lineup.

The last few games they've done everything but score, and it's looked dangerous. So there is some light at the end of the tunnel. The team really just needs a PP goal to break the mental block at this point.
