So you want a 2 mill Rakell for just a 1st. When guys like Goodrow, Rakell , Kapanen got way more?

I mean.. we all know the Kapanen and Goodrow trades were overpayments, and at least those guys can play some defence. Rakell is purely offence but he hasn't really been producing

More or less the deal with the whole Ducks team. He's still most likely their best forward.

It wouldn't do if they traded their top market asset for low value supplementary assets. ANA would be much better with by just keeping Rakell.

If his entire value is based on a down year, on a terrible team, why would we want him? He's a proven player with another year at a very reasonable dollar amount. The Ducks would probably get better value in the off-season when teams open up some cap room.

They have already too many 3rd liners in that roster. I dunno if Mikheyev would add anything to the team they don't already have in a sense.

Honestly the most sensible option for the Ducks is probably Rakell for Robertson 1-on-1, should they trade with the Leafs. What the Ducks need the most is a young scoring winger, and I dunno if any but Robertson fits the bill from the Leafs.

Don't think the Leafs would be interested in that though.

Amirov's skilled and have nice potential, but he isn't exactly a scoring winger. More of a skilled play driver with good hands.

Ya that’s true. Robertson’s just too close to being nhl ready for the leafs to trade while amirov is a couple years away. I don’t think they really have any A forward prospects either.

As a Leafs fan I'd love it, but Anaheim's getting totally ripped off. A star player for two fourth liners and a second? Not happening. The Leafs don't really need him anyways.

Well they have Zegras, who's probably the top prospect that isn't playing NHL full time. There ain't gonna be many better play drivers. But they're lacking scorers.

Anaheim has there fore coming up just need development they need to surplus there system with guys that match up with them the guys now that are ready as 3/4th liners won’t all be there then. I know it’s not ideal and if they get a better offer would not be surprised at all I’m just saying that it’s a fair deal with 2 2nds that makes sense.

Rakell is not purely offense, I’m not gonna say he’s Bergeron but the Ducks wouldn’t play him as much as they do if he was a liability, for a winger he does his job away from the puck well enough

Yeah they aren't giving up Robertson or Sandin. Those guys are both untouchables imo
