Stacking late picks doesn't really add much value -- Preds pass.

Both teams say no on the Laf deal... Having KK and Zuke as a one two punch for years to come is a rare opportunity. Laf is great, but could you imagine how bad he would feel if he was to be traded a couple months after being drafted first OA... Also, Norlinder looks like he'll be our futur 1PP QB in two years, dont trade this guy. Highly skilled dmen dont come very often

So you really think Montreal is turning down that trade?

Like, seriously, not taking that deal?

Well, Lafreniere looks like he’s in bust territory whereas KK has been one of the best analytical players in the league. Plus MTL is adding Norlinder + a high pick, it seems too much.

TBH, Lafreniere would be happy to play on a stacked team rather than have below replacement guys like Howden & Rooney as his linemates.

Has Laf looked great so far? Not saying hes a bust, Im taking him on my team, but not at the expense of KK. Having two great and young top 6 C is a rare but important commodity in this league... Just take a look at your team... KK also had much better numbers at 18 and is looking like a beast right now.

Rangers coach doesnt know how to deal with talent or kids. Andersson, Kravtsov, Kakko, now Lafreniere. Quinn probably wouldnt use KK, so it's not helping the Rangers in any way.

Maybe the players you drafted are just not good enough. Andersson haven't done anything good in LA. A coach will always use the best players he have in hand. I Think that it's something like 10% of the players drafted end up having a played 500 games or more. The biggest issue New York have if no that Zibanejad as become Zibanejad again they have no production from their center. If know one distribute the puck how can the winger do their thing. Just look at the great team in the league, the only commun thing is they have great centerline.

I mean Laffy hasn't broke anything yet and the pressure of playing in Montreal would just crush him to the ground. Laff has been hyped like if he was the next McDavid yet he might be more in the Hishier/RHN tier, definitely not a bust but neither a franchise player à la Connor, Matthews or MacKinnon.
KK is still a good prospect (Still the 10th youngest player in the league even if it's his 3rd season), Norlinder has top 4 offensive dman stamped on his forehead and lower tier 1st, 2nd and 3rd so yeah if I'm Montreal I decline that trade offer.

Hey Montreal fans you will not get ekholm for that. It starts with a 1st and good prospect and if we’re taking a cap dump the prospect gets even better.

Wrong. KK straight probably yes but not KK plus Norlinder and a first. Centers' values are higher than wingers, which makes KK for Laf equal.

Agreed, being traded right after the draft really messed with Lindros' and Forsberg's careers...
