Who are you going to expose to Seattle after moving Kerfoot? Need to have 2 forwards under contract who have played 40 games this season or 70 across the last 2. Right now the only forwards outside of the big 4 that meet those requirements are Engvall and Kerfoot.

Staal has 3 goals and 2 assists and is minus 7. Kerfoot is younger faster and has 10 points in 18 games and plus 2. Why would TO do this? Leaf fans just want to make changes no matter what is going on.

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Oilers fans do this all the time, drives me nuts.

Oiler fans don't have green grass on their side of the fence though, just McDavid, Draisaitl, Yamamoto and RNH standing in a field of mud and ****.

Nah I get it 100%. What I am saying is for Leaf fans, they have good players doing their jobs and are the best team in their division. Yet they see the "grass is greener on the other side" because they just always want to move out someone even though their side of the fence is as green or more green.

Edmonton fans moving guys isn't seeing the other side greener, while having green grass on their side. They are a field of crap with a couple of patches of green so pretty much every trade is getting greenery on their side. Edmonton fans seeing greener grass on the other side are Oiler fans who understand just how bad their team is after McDavid and Draisaitl.

I completely agree with this. Would much rather keep kerfoot. Let him play 2lw and stall at 3c.

How about Engvall B prospect and 2nd for stall 50% retained.

The Leafs have been riding a lot of luck, we'll see if it lasts.

There are some differences though, the Leafs are far more consistent across their lineup. McDavid and usually Draisaitl have been on the right side of the advanced stats numbers. McDavid has been downright dominant as usual. However, the rest of the team is garbage. For TO, no one has been really bad. Although I think some of the advance stats don't work right. TO doesn't shoot as much as other teams, but when they do, it's a way more dangerous chance and they score on them more than most teams. They have improved big time defensively but have taken a bite out of their offence. A guy like Engvall doesn't really have any offense to speak of but he limits shots and chances really well so his advance stats aren't entirely good as a whole but for a bottom 6er he does a really good job of disrupting the opposition and keeping stuff outside.

It's pretty clear, TO is just better than Edmonton. You can keep holding onto hope but we argued a bunch on what our teams are. One is top of the division with a big lead the other is battling for a playoff spot.

Agree with you. But it's not only Leaf fans. For some reason so many CF followers think the Leafs bottom enders are useless, and they have to replaced by fading players or bottom enders from poor teams.
Leafs have entered the season with very good NHL depth, I don't understand the obsession to make changes for the sake of changes.

You and me both hoss. We currently have 2 players how aren't positive on the goal differential front. So our bottom 6 is not getting outscored. What more do you want? All 4 lines are in the plus. With out top line utterly dominating! Our 2nd line has been snakebit but playing very good defensively. All looks good to me.
