Newhook on his full ELC is worth more to the Avs than 1 year of Kravtsov ELC and some futures

I can assure you that Avs won't be trading Newhook for Kravtsov no matter how many minor prospects or mid round draft picks you add.

Newhook is our long-term future 2C, and without him we'd have a big hole at that position.

Of all fanbases you Rangers fans should know how hard it is to acquire quality top 6 centers, and that they don't come cheap at all.

I can totally see where you're coming from though. Rangers have Lafreniere, Panarin, Kreider, and Kaako as top 6 wingers, and Kravtsov is certainly the easiest to move value-wise and position-wise. But realise that centers are much more valuable than wingers, so Avs have absolutely no reason to make a trade like this barring a silly overpayment.

Kravtsov beside the weird Russia interview where a trade was mentioned is remotely the prospect is Newhook is who was the NCAA frosh of the year (not Caulfield, not Turcotte), and is slotted in as the long term 2C whose development should dovetail nicely with Kadri’s contract. Hard pass by the Avs.

That doesn’t get Newhook, Kravtsov isn’t part of any package that nets Newhook, he is the future 2C. What’s Kravtsov to the Avs, maybe a 2nd line winger. C>>>>>W.

Personally zero interest in Kravtsov, with all the weird Russian stuff it kind of exemplifies why some teams avoid Russians. In the grand scheme of things to give you an idea where Newhook ranks there are some that have him only behind MacKinnon, Makar, Rantanen and Byram for the long term, so yeah Kravtsov is a very little interest to the Avs.
