There is no way that Price isn't a bad contract. He is paid way more than his worth. It remains arguable if he's an elite goalie any more - and that's not the discussion here. Equivalent goalies in this league are paid much less.

Paul Byron, Drouin and Edmundson are all paid too much too.

I didn't know $10.5M per season was the going rate for a goalie with a .899sv%. But hey, I guess it's justified by his previous years:

For $10.5M Montreal should be getting minimum .920sv% every season from Price. & the argument of him being overworked can be thrown out the window since he has a good backup this season and he's actually worse than he was the previous 3 seasons. He hasn't been good since he signed his extension.
