Nylander trade doesn't really look enticing for Toronto.
Bennett may break out into a higher quality player if given the better playing time he wants, but that's a big maybe and he'll be due for a raise.
Välimäki shouldn't be traded. Gio's getting older and he'll have more opportunity to break out on the Flames than the Leafs. Toronto doesn't need another young LD.
Parsons isn't worth much. Last played in the ECHL.
Philp is in the same camp. Local guy who didn't break the NHL roster. Again, not worth much.
The first is looking like it'll be in the middle of the pack; I'm assuming the Flames would put a lottery protection on it incase their fortunes don't pan out.
Rest of the picks are throwaway balancers.
So your offer is Nylander for Bennett, Välimäki and a 1st, along with four low risk, low reward tagalongs. The Leafs would be worse after this trade since their right wing would be weaker and Välimäki wouldn't be getting anything beyond third pairing time.
