If he's playing the next 5-7 years with either one of KK or Suzuki and another great winger (plus PP time), he should definitely reach that 45 pts mark each years. It’s just funny how wrong and confident you are at the same time. McAvoy was constantly bailing out chara last year. I still wish they had re-signed chara, but one guy carried that pairing to the point where frequently mcavoy was paired with other d men too.

Why did McAvoy play significantly more than Chara? If your assertion is correct, the bruins coaching staff would have to be really dumb, right? Or you could just be woefully misinformed.

Not really sure Duchene is overrated -- he's just a 60 point 2nd line center that got overpaid as a UFA. I don't really think anyone would say anything more than that.

Ice time argument would have to come back to the fact that Chara is 40+ and Mcavoy is young 20's.

I'm not saying McAvoy is not good. He is good. Would love him on my team. But he's not AS good as you and some others seem to think. That's the whole point of this post. He's not bad by any stretch. He's just not as good as you think. And realistically he's probably better than I think, probably somewhere in the middle. Doesn't change the fact that he's overrated, in my opinion.
