Dougie Hamilton is so overrated, not sure why everybody wants him

CGY will need to make 3 roster spots open to do this. Not good enough IMO.

Holland+Corrado+Leivo+2nd rounder for Hamilton get real 28 other teams out there could beat this deal. It's really bad.

Calgary is not getting enough value back in this deal. If the Leafs want Hamilton they will have to part with one of van Riemsdyk/Kadri/Gardiner/1st rounder + supplementary pieces.

When will people learn that it takes more than a plethora of spare parts to exchange for something you covet?

I don't know if Hamilton will end up a top pairing guy so paying a 2nd pairing defender almost 6 million for the next 5 years seems like bad asset management.
Seems a bad indicator that both Boston and now Calgary are trying to move him.
Not saying the value is even, just don't think if I were Toronto I would pay the price Calgary will demand.

Agree, I don't know if anyone really covets Hamilton though. Be interesting Wednesday night when the Leafs play Calgary, that Leafs fan can watch all of these "stars" for the Flames.

I think there's a lot of Americans who follow the Eastern Conference who do covet Hamilton; because they remember how promising he looked in Boston and they rarely get a chance to see a game featuring a Canadian team from the Western Conference.
