MTL wouldn’t do Suzuki vs PLD straight up but KK ++ vs PLD is more of an option. Super unlikely tho I wouldn’t spend energy with that tbh

Those 3 don't really have that much value imo. You're gonna need at least 1 premier piece going back to columbus.

I would do KK + Armia + 1st round pick for PLD.

Drouin - Suzuki - Anderson
Toffoli - PLD - Caufield
Tatar - Danault - Gallagher

Cap wise, I don’t think it would work next year. This would be roughly 40M and Suzuki and PLD due for huge raises in following years. But that would be a very nice top 9 imo.

I agree that Columbus will ask for a young center to come back the other way. Why not Suzuki? I think they're probably of equal value.

However, It would be tough for the Canadiens to swing: they have to worry so much about the cap, and at least 5 million has to go the other way to make this work. Maybe Suzuki, Byron, Weal and maybe a 2nd for PLD and a 3rd? Maybe? I could see that being a deal that MB and JK make. Whether JK trades him this season is a whole different matter entirely. smile

Those ? I said Suzuki is 100% off the table, KK ++ would be the only option. You don’t know how good Suzuki is

I know exactly how good Suzuki is, and it's not good enough to be valuable enough for a 1 for one trade for PLD. So yes, those.

You are a Maple Leafs fans, which means you don’t watch hockey outside Toronto so no, you don’t know how good Suzuki is

Ah yes, I love a weak ass dismissal argument based on favourite team when you dont have any actual proof to back up your argument.
a Habs fan pretending they are any sort of hockey specialist over leafs fans is something that is too funny for words. You probably didnt even know who Suzuki was until the trade happened, I've been watching him since before he was drafted.

I know my hockey, and no most of Habs fans as no clue. But MTL wouldn’t trade Suzuki for PLD, not because he is better, but he could become a PPG and we need this. PLD is more physical, but I think Suzuki might have more offense in him then PLD. Right now PLD > Suzuki, but I rather keep Suzuki even if PLD was offered

You cant keep Danault and PLD on the same roster. Cap wont work. Suzuki ELC deal and Kotkaniemi first contract after entry level make PLD palatable
