Yeah they’re probably top 3. And you may be able to ride Vlasic out but omg paying Karlsson, Burns and Vlasic all that money in like 2 years is gonna be a killer to the sharks. Those contracts r already killing them

While everyone may be tired of hearing the “to Seattle is “player x I don’t want”; burns is a legitimate candidate for a expansion team. He’s still valuable offensively (using value loosely but he’s still a higher tier OFD) - his defence went from okay/ not great to brutal this past year. He still holds value maybe if his contract was 4-6mil but at 8 we’ll have to give some picks for them to take him unless he really plays amazing. But either way I think he’s a lock for Seattle, he’s captain material, never injured, a workhorse, and will be able to handle top pair ice time; if he can get a stay at home pair d then it’ll make up for his errors. A amazing vet for a rebuilding team (just not an amazing contract); but he’s such a polarizing figure in hockey I see a new team loving to have him for the new fans and what not as a personality.

For some reason some sharks fans/ fans in general just hate on Karlsson but Karlsson has been great. Contract has annoyances with it obviously but I’m fine with it for atleast a handful more years (unless he’s injured but at that point he’ll just be LTIR/ retire if he’s injured enough) Vlasic is here for those 6 years unfortunately.

If Burns goes to Seattle SJS is definitely gonna have to trade some assets, but they don’t rly have a lot of those. Burns to Seattle is a possibility

We don’t have anyone really useful to expose and this years expansion definitely doesn’t look as good as it did for Vegas (as far as it looks for now but things will change after TDL). I think if burns just has a year like last - it’ll cost maybe a 2nd + to get rid of him. Seattle imo should build for futures instead of what Vegas did and run for a cup; there’s some unreal draft talent coming up for them. With COVID and divisions being a mess, futures is what they should do and taking burns doesn’t hurt them if they aren’t trying to win.

He does, he’s a genius though honestly. What he does better than any gm is hold out players or picks or whatever for the right return.
