Well if you ask the analytics people who think they know everything will tell you he sucks even though they never watch him or any hockey at all.

If you ask a scout or someone who knows what they are talking about and actually watches him they will tell you that Doughty's only knock was his effort in the games that did not matter like against rebuilding teams for example. He's also had nothing but bottom pair D partners for 4 years straight, Derek Forbort and Joakim Ryan... When Doughty played rival teams or playoff teams he was the best defenseman on the ice.

If McDavid finds him as the hardest defenseman in the league to play against still to this day, that's gotta count for something.

Doughty got 5 points in 5 games 5 times last season as well as 6 points in 5 games once.

The IQ here is overwhelming. I already explained why I did not have Makar or Hughes in the bio. Letang is certainly top 20. Not top 10.

Neither EK65 or Johnny Carlson make the list? I may be a bit biased because I am a Caps fan. But the guy just finished 2nd in the Norris voting.

I gotta go with the consensus here. Doughty isn’t top 10 anymore, not a chance. Pietro, while maybe a top 10er, is definitely not number 3. Jaccob Slavin not being in this list is a crime. Dougie and Slavin both should be. That’s without getting to Carlson!!!
