Leddy is still a positive asset, they are not paying a first to trade him. If anything they can just buy him out and save the money

I agree with what everyone is saying. I think Barzal would cost more, but that's just my opinion.

I would be a little nervous to bring up Noah Dobson just to be a 7th defenseman. Even if he splits time, it's hard to see how that's good for his development. Does anyone agree or disagree?

Right idea, wrong person. Leddy should still get a positive result although I don't think he gets more than a late pick at this point. Boychuk is the guy they should attach a 1st to and dump.

Dobson will not be a 7th D this season. He’s already good enough to play 2nd pairing minutes. He’ll probably start on the 3rd pairing and work his way up.

That's a good point. Maybe we could see a 3-team trade where he gets shipped somewhere that wants him and another team retains on him for a pick.

Boychuk is the guy to move and it should take more than 1st rounder to dump him.

The issue will be his NTC, he can only be traded to 8 teams.
