That's why I said "if true." And also, Lindell is a great top 4 defender and at a lesser cap hit. Klingberg is mostly a pure offensive threat. You want defense? You get Lindell.

He's pretty underrated honestly. We'd not have made the cup final without him. He's not Heiskanen though and he's not as gifted offensively as Klingberg, but he's very good in his own end and can move the puck. Is he as good a Nylander? No, but you wan a top 4 d man and give Nylander to another conference? This is one of the better players you can get. He's 25 on a good deal and will improve.

He's not. I was going on the rumor that the Leaf's are looking for a top 4 d man. This is for fun. I wouldn't imagine it would happen. And why would a rumor have two players specifically in it? This isn't a hugely credible source. It simply is a rumor I thought it be fun to get peoples reaction to if it were to include Lindell. Obviously Lindell is not as valued outside dallas. And that's fine. I didn't expect everyone to "yay let's do it!"

All good man. I think they're likely always looking for a top 4 dman, but it's important to remember that they've got Rielly/Muzzin on the left side, plus options like Lehtonen, Sandin and Dermott. Even after adding Brodie, if they were to add to their top 4, it'd be a RD.
