i thought a package would need to be necas, pesce and a first or the best prospect to get laine, so i think youre pretty much there especially sending back roslovic and niku. Its still REALLY steep for carolina but i dont see him going for much less

Agreed! I do realize it is a very steep price to pay from CAR's perspective but I genuinely believe the value is at least close and I don't think WPG would accept much less then what you're saying!

Yeah I think that’s too rich for Carolina. I do not see them moving Jarvis because they are obviously quite high on him seeing as they just drafted him. I also do not see the canes moving both pesce or necas. Maybe they move one, pesce is probably more likely, but it wouldn’t be both. Both players just have way to much value to the canes. If the canes made that trade, ultimately I think it makes them worse.

Carolina says no but I'm sure this is the package Chevy is looking for if a Laine trade were to happen.

I think ur valuation is probably a bit high, but there is certainly going to be interest in laine. You may get another team to pay more for laine than the canes but I don’t think they value laine that much

Another very fair take. The price is quite steep and I agree it is leaning in WPG's favour. I know the ask for Laine will obviously be high but I can't see a trade that doesn't involve Pesce or Necas if Laine is going back the other way. Things would have to be tweaked on both sides but those are for sure the main 2 targets I would think.

Way too much for CAR to give up. No way they give up 2 ELC years of Necas, plus the ELC years of Jarvis to come along with 4 yrs of Pesce at $4M to overpay Laine.

True! There will absolutely be multiple teams in on Laine if he's moved. I always thought Carolina would be the perfect partner from the Jets perspective...but not necessarily Carolina's.

Understandable. I realize it definitely leans in Winnipeg's favour but just wanted to gauge value. I don't think Jarvis is added but the targets would be Pesce or Necas for sure.

I would love to see laine on the canes, a first line of laine, Aho, turbo, would be deadly. The on the ice is probably the best fit in the league, I just however don’t think value wise it’s a great fit any more. When the canes had 5 right sided dman they could have afforded to move one to get laine, but now with only Hamilton and pesce they really can’t move either. Necas I think the canes love and see as the future of the second line. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him put up close to 55-60 points this season when given an expanded role. Moving necas and get laine also just does not fill the hole on the canes top 6 since you are trading out a top 6 guy to get another one. If the value works out I’d love laine, I just do not see it working.

As a canes fan I’d want the offer to look like this but I assume the jets say no: skeji, Suzuki, bokk, 1st

He's worth that package IMO, but if i were CAR i wouldnt make this deal. make sense? didnt think so
