Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

I lot of Flordia fans don't like the Kerfoot for Weegar swap because it doesn't save them enough cap so I wanted to ask if these kinds of trades would be enough cap relief

Idea 1: Holl + 5th rounder, if Holl is too much salary to take on then

Idea 2: Dermott/Engvall + 5th rounder, or if the Panthers don't want to take on salary

Idea 3: 3rd rounder or prospect (e.g. SDA)

Idk how Panthers and Leafs fans feel about the value but I just want to know, mostly from a Panthers perspective how a structure to this deal would look like. Would 1-2 mil contracts + sweetner be affordable to take on or would it be a strict cap dump where only picks/prospects are the return. Valuation might be off so please don't roast me.

Entirely as an outsider, I think that Weegar's value = Kapanen's value, maybe minus a little. This is based upon your (and your colleagues') expressed intention to play him in your top 4. It seems utterly illogical to me to say he's only worth Holl plus a low draft pick and then say he's Holl's replacement and a significant upgrade.

Yeah there’s nothing the leafs want to give up that the panthers need. Kerfoot makes more and is a third line center that they dont need engvall is similar just cheaper winter that that dont need. Dermott is a little step below weegar might as well keep weegar and with holl they’re stacked on the right side so unless you’re taking stralman also there’s no need for him. I just dont see Toronto being a good partner if they plan to trade weegar which I dont think they are, maybe if they traded for Schmidt but now I dont see the reason to move him. Sign him to a 2 year 3 mil a year and see how it goes.

Leafs won’t get Weegar because they won’t give up what the Panthers would want. Either Sandin or A high end center prospect would be ideal for them.

Agreed. Toronto doesn't have a high-end center prospect signed and Sandin is probably too much. The only deal I can see that makes sense for Florida is Liljegren and Toronto's 2021 second.

that was my sim from three days ago ( havent published tho cause of so many Weegar hunters out there from TML homers club )

Kerfoot as LW for second or third Line

Dermott as filler for 3rd Pair LHD

I also got 2022 3rd back tho

Thats too much IMO.
If its Dermot + 2nd, that seems close. Kerfoot is a decent 3C, who is owed less than 2.7m for the next 3 years in actual dollars. He has decent value, and this trade makes a massive hole down the middle for the Leafs.
If its Kerfoot+Dermott+2nd id want Weegar+Accari
