Do you think the year of Anderson we would get is worth using that asset on? Liljegren is *almost* ready and could jump into 3rd pair this year and take pressure off Addison and add some competition once he gets there.

Not really to be honest, I just really like SDA and we could use the pick.

Everyone said Zadina was a lock at 3, look what happened there. You never know with the draft. I have him as my 4th best prospect so he'd be my pick if I'm Detroit for what it's worth.

Let’s say the Wings take Rossi, wild get either Perfetti or Raymond. Not upset by that outcome.

Yep me neither. I'd be happy with any of those three and moving up to 6 would secure one of them. My preference is Rossi or Perfetti though.

If the Leafs wanted Manson they could get a deal done without giving up their only starting goalie. Stalock and Campbell isn't a good enough tandem to get the job done. & giving up one of their top prospects in a week system isn't a smart idea either. It doesn't really work for them

I agree but I also don’t think minnesota has any interest in Anderson. I would keep an eye on the ducks and wild, it could be what gets Manson to the leafs.

I'm sorry but stalock is in no way shape or form an adequate goalie behind our defense and Manson doesn't make up the difference in downgrade.

Stalock could make a cheap 1B. @tansor is a reasonable guy and wild have cap space. I would get manson retained. A blueline consisting of

    Muzzin-petro
    Rielly-Manson
    Dermott-Holl

With Sandin and Lilly ready to come up for injuries that is a top tier blueline with depth.

If they trade Freddy here I was thinking the idea for Toronto would be to use Stalock as the 1B and acquire a goalie elsewhere to be the 1A (free agent or maybe Gerogiev/one of Columbus' goalies?). Stalock looked like a starter this year but I wouldn't expect him to do that again. He's still a very solid backup, though

But do you really trust Campbell to take the 1A role

I would use Campbell as 1a, he was drafted as a starter by The stars. Ended up behind quick. Has never really been given the chance. If things don’t go well you address it at tdl. Goalies are fickle. I have no issue grabbing a hot goalie at the TDL.

    So we trade:

    Dumba
    9th
    Donato
    Dubnyk
    Stalock

    for

    6th
    36th
    44th
    Andersen
    Der-Argunchintsev

Doesn't seem like great value for moving Dumba and the 9th

Campbell is actually a decent goalie. He’s just never been given a shot. I think most people don’t remember his world juniors or draft pedigree.

The most games he’s ever been given is 31. He posted a 2.29 and .928. It’s certainly worth considering.

Like a mentioned above you fix the goaltending later. Grab the hot hand at tdl if necessary.

If you can keep the offence intact run the defence I mentioned you Re putting both goalies in a situation to not lose games. Both seem highly competing and up to the task.

I think I am with you but I still don't think that is enough of a return for Andersen and SDA, I see SDA as our future 3C he had a great training camp the past two years and I think will translate his ohl experience with Robertson very well. if he is substituted for a different asset I think it would be better.

Not sure what he has been playing this season but the impression I get is that Dubas likes him as a 2 way 3c option.

Guerin tried to get Hallander added to the Zucker deal last deadline, so that’s a prospect to consider if it’s going to Minnesota. I know there’s some debate over whether he’ll be a C or LW in the NHL. I think he’s still a C but some projections have him moving to wing, comparison is Hornqvist. I’d take that.
