Use 8OA draft Lundell to fill 3C next year and remain an instant contender with young talent. NYR gives a lot but I think overall it’s a fair deal.

Why? Giving up Eichel and 8 OA? For a maybe 2nd line C, Kakko who had statistically the worse 1st yr of a 2nd OA pick in recent memory, Deangelo who isn’t going to put up the pts in BUF he did in NY and another mid round 1st. Lafrienere is going to a stud, but a BUF team sans Eichel is vying for 1st OA not just this year but years to come.

NYR please trade Marc Stall instead Brendan Smith to a team that actually wants him say Detroit.
