Tyler Toffoli has already agreed to deal with Vancouver, They're just waiting to see what Jacob Markstrom does. And 7 x $5,500,000 for Cirelli in high taxed California get real. First off Cirelli isn't getting dealt and it would probably take close to $8,000,000 for him to sign an offer sheet there. He'll stay in Tampa for that.

The Wild would have to be complete morons to even consider that deal! Old guys on looooong contracts is not what they should be looking for. Been there, done that!

Couture is a perfect fit in Minnesota, he went to high school with Parise and Suter

Problem is he's 31, we need to get younger. That's why he's a terrible fit, as much as I like him as a player.

Absolutely agree, who are you targeting if Dumba is headed out? Curious who wild fans want or feel they could get? I was thinking Monohan out of Calgary but I'd be nervous with Mony his numbers are pretty meh with out Gaudreau

Monahan is my target. I don't think we need Gaudreau for Monahan, Fiala looked dominant in the last 3rd of the season scoring 26 points in his final 18 games and he looked just as good against Vancouver after the long break. Fiala could drive that line and Monahan can do his thing in front of the net and bang in rebounds or score off of Fiala's passes.

Another huge reason I want him is because I think he can help Zucc rediscover his game. Zucc is a fantastic playmaker and Monahan almost needs a playmaker to produce. Stick Zuccarello with Monahan and Fiala and that could be a nasty line.

I do like Monohan in Minnesota - from the flames side I'm concerned because I have no true C anymore and there aren't any in FA , I don't have a mass depth of assets to go out and aquire a 2 C , in all honesty if I'm the flames I need more back than just Dumba to make this move - here's my offer Monohan and our 2021 1st for Dumba and Minnesota 2020 1st

I think that line combo just might work! I don’t see them getting many (if any) D-zone faceoffs and Parise will probably pout about not being on the line getting the majority of the O-zone faceoffs, but oh well.
As much as Im not a huge Monahan guy, the idea of having an exciting and creative offense only line is starting to grow on me...

I agree, moving Monahan doesn't make a ton of sense given their center depth, but apparently he's available for trade. Maybe they believe Lindholm can play C full-time?

I think an add is in order - but the 9th overall pick is way too rich. A deal around Dumba and Greenway or Donato for Monahan makes sense, otherwise they reportedly want a gritty right shot wing and as much as I hate this idea I think Dumba and Kunin for Monahan and Kylington would be close.

You have to remember Dumba scored 12 goals in 32 games before he was injured in the 18/19 season, and the season before that he scored 14 goals and 50 points in 82 games. He absolutely looked like he belonged on the top pairing those two years. He had a rough year this year returning from injury but I think he's still the same player, he's just stuck behind Spurgeon since Suter hates playing with him.

Aren't you just confirming what Bassman wrote? Long term contracts on aging guy are no deal. Doubt if Couture waives his NTC for Minni anyways.

That line would be pretty awful in their own zone, but that's what the 2nd line would be for. You put Ek with Parise and that's a very solid two-way line. Throw Kaprizov in the mix (he was a very good two-way player in the KHL) and they could do some damage in the offensive zone as well. I know you're a big believer that Ek can score 60 points next year, maybe he could if Kaprizov lives up to the hype.

If Ek gets to play between Parise and Kaprizov, i will put the over/under at 50 for Ek’s points. I think he has 60 point potential, but think that might be a year or two away...all dependent on opportunities given to him.
