I think a 2020 2nd is more then fair for Ghost, seeing as they didn’t even need him/ play him for the playoffs

It's actually not that bad. My only thoughts would be mantha and bertuzzi most likely will get a million more each and ghost is going to have to come with compensation with how bad he's been, not us giving him picks and prospects back. Like ghost + philly 2020 2nd for erne.

Well, I definitely won't yell at you lol, I don't mind the looks of this team. I like the Ghost trade (I am never sure of his true value but looks good to me), I have been targeting Dell in goal as well for DET and I wold be more than willing to take a flyer on Galchenyuk! With that being said, I think Galchenyuk is better suited on the wing, with Rasmussen playing at least 3C. Cholowski I believe will start in the AHL to play top minutes as well and would slot Bowey on the 3rd pairing and scratch Beiga.

I don't think the Flyers would be that interested in this.

If you drop Smith from the trade, you are probably correct on value. A middle 2nd rounder for Ghost would be about value. His play did drop off this year, so you are buying on the thought that he rebounds. The risk is not large, as his contract has 2 years left on it, and DET needs LHD for the next few years (and offensive minded LHD to boot).

my buddies stayed at a resort in Cuba a few years ago and Givani Smith was there as well. They said he was the coolest guy. I think that's pretty telling of his character that he's not an arrogant loser like a lot of CHL players. I wish him the best, but idk if he holds any significant trade value anymore. maybe could become a 4th liner

Ghost isn't worth 2 2nd round picks, And both Bertuzzi and Mantha get $1 million more in money.

I'd like to keep Smith but I wouldn't mind getting Gostisbehere. He'd probably fit a contending team better than us though.

They free up $13.5 million spent on a healthy scratch AND they get a 2nd + a prospect. That sounds like a pretty great deal to me.
