I like the concept of the Lundqvist trade. Sens would have to love Hunter Skinner though because the 3rd rounder and Andersson don't mean much.

I think the Rangers are just going to buy him out themselves and not give up any assets. I'm not sure Andersson would interest anyone to take on a few million dollars in Hank's buyout, either.

If your OTT trade description is correct, “ Sens would only owe $3.5M on an $8.5M cap hit” then you’re not sending enough compensation. Carolina received a top 10 protected first for 4M cash and 6.25M cap hit pre-pandemic. You’re talking about the cheapest owner in hockey during a pandemic and only getting a meh prospect (Skinner), a ticked-off potential bust in Andersson, and a 3rd. That’s a hard sale considering they’ll hit the floor without this trade also.

Sens have no incentive to make that trade. Andersson has no value, Skinner and 3rd sure aren't enough.

Sens are poor, if someone buyout Hank, it'll be rangers without giving any asset!
