Description
Studnicka thrown into the fire. If he struggles drop him to L3 or make a trade for a vet 2/3C plenty of cap space to do so at the deadline. Nurse on top pair with Mcavoy would be awesome. Puljujarvi wants out and could be a fit in Boston. He had an excellent year in Finland and still only 22 years old. This all contingent on signing Taylor Hall. And deal with expansion draft when the time comes regarding losing one of Lauzon/Grzelcyk. Maybe give Grzelcyk no move clause?

Oilers pass. It’s generous enough to call nurse for debrusk a fair 1-1 including jp is well past the point of declining.

this is a robbery for us lol

I would do that trade any day.

Nurse is a ****ing tool. So bad defensively. I'm driving him to the airport if I get an offer like that from Don.

Meh. Sharks would be paying 7.25 and two picks for a 50 point player. Krejci just isnt very good anymore. If you retained I could see a deal

I'd retain 2 million. That being said there are teams that would be all over Krejci for a playoff run. Maybe bark up Colorado's tree?

Nurse is just better. I like Grizz but as 2nd pair guy not a first. I'm assuming you watched game 5 OT game vs TB? Maroon planted his fat ass in front of the net on the winner. Krug tried his hardest to move him, had no chance. That would be Grzelcyk also. Nurse punishes Maroon on that play. You need big, strong dmen to win playoff hockey. You can get away with one pint sized dman but not more than that imo. Analytics won't tell you that. Free tip.

But how is he better? That's my question.

Stop what? Grzelcyk is more likely to play better with McAvoy because they've already played together (in NCAA and NHL), they've done good job playing together and having a defenseman that can defend/not be a liability will let McAvoy actives and joins more offensives rushes. You're getting stopped at pts and he's 6' 4" and that's it

Grz is really underrated I think BOS should (partly) build their D-core around him for the long term future

He has the higher ceiling but he REALLY needs to get consistency and to sharpen his game next year that's for sure

The good old eye test. Make no mistake. I like Grzelcyk but not as a 1st pairing dman. You can go with him as Mcavoy’s partner but you won’t get past round one.

At the deadline is a different deal. Sharks just dont have the money as we need cap to get a goalie as well. Colarado would probably be a great target as they have tons of cap, but I get the sense they want Hall.

Puljujärvi sucks do not want him in Boston. Bruins would want NHL players not futures back for Krejci.

You’ll get better value trading Krejci for futures than NHL talent. Teams who are trading for Krejci if he ever would be moved would likely be a playoff team. Don’t see teams moving a roster player for krejci unless they absolutely have to

Then Sweeney shouldn’t make the trade.
