Get real Ken Holland isn't giving up a 19 year old LD prospect in Philip Broberg plus a 2021 1st round pick for a 30 year Darcy Kuemper he'd be fired in a minute if he made that deal.

Philip Brobegr shouldnt have been picked at 8 and is overrated imo. Matt Benning has been great on the 3rd pair so i think if hes played in a top 4 role consistantly he could do good.

Utterly no chance the Blue Jackets trade Bjorkstrand (our best two-way winger, and our best scoring forward) for the guy we correctly passed on in 2016, a bottom 6 center, and a 4th. Where on EARTH did you hear we wanted Puljujarvi? We need a true top-6 forward, preferably a 2C. And Bjorkstrand is one of the best (non-ELC) bargains in all of hockey at $2.5M.

Show me a link or an audio clip and I'll believe you, but I haven't seen anything to that effect. And Bjorkstrand is off-limits in just about any deal; we need to add scoring, and we can't do that by dealing away a player of his caliber.

I guess there's interest, but I wouldn't give up anything more than Riley Nash to make it happen. Certainly nothing near Bjorkstrand's quality.

Just listened to the clip at this link (21:20), and he makes it sound like they're just kicking the tires to see what he'd cost. Not a whole ton of smoke just yet, and it was because the host directly asked about Pulju that he even mentioned it.

I seen the same mention of Columbus being interested. They passed on JP because PLD was given time at C and looked liked like a more capable option for that position they desperately needed. It had nothing to do with them not wanting JP even at the time. Couldn’t take both so took the better bet for position required.

He was rated top 15 in the draft. He's progressed well. History trends suggest Swedish dmen picked high typically turn out very well. He's got size and is an incredible skater. Dmen take time to develop. You might be the only person who thinks he's "overrated". At the time there was 1 or 2 other players I liked at 8OA, but I wouldn't say any Oilers are upset with the pick. Broberg is looking like a good piece in 2-3 years down the road.

I wouldn't do a 1st OR Broberg for Kuemper, let alone both. If the Oilers are giving up their top trade chips, its for a goalie that can grow with the team. Not a goalie whos already 30 and and has had injury problems.
