Détails additionnels:
The yotes get a goalie that is only owed 1M in actual cash, also replace a draft picks lost due to the testing infraction. they save money and get two high draft picks. two Ws for their organization imo. they also get a pretty good prospect.

Kuempfer is not worth that, not even close. Terrible trade for Toronto.

St Louis trade is totally unncessary, Dermott is useful and I don't know why you traded Justin Holl as well.

I don't think you're going to get Cernak through an offer sheet. T bay will work and trade to keep him. I would be willing to offer them the 2021 first and maybe a Duszak. With their cap situation they'd have to consider it.

if they could get kuemper for cheaper thats even better. the st louis trade is necessary, the leafs need a physical 3rd line Centre that can penalty kill and chip in offensively, barbashev checks every single box. even if tampa moves both gourde and johnson they barely have enough cap for Sergachev and Cirelli. they have 0 blue liners signed on the right side next season. if they cant move the cap space in time an offer sheet is very plausible. why not offer sheet a divisional rival

justin holl is almost liability territory playing away from muzzin. lehtonen makes dermott expendable. Liljegren is heavily underrated and i believe next season we might even see him in the top 4. i would rather liljegren in the lineup over either dermott and holl.

Leafs aren't any better on the ice....with Kuemper, Cernak, Crouse and Barbashov for Andersson, Dermot, Holl, Johnson and Kerfoot. Then the Leafs have to add 1st and two 2nds. Really bad value for the Leafs.

The value might favour the Blues in that trade, but don't have the cap space to be going from Barbashev to Kerfoot and Dermott isn't really needed.

i disagree, youre also excluding the 5M in cap savings which is massive. the Blueline is incredibly upgraded, and they also got way more physical

Disagree about Liljegren. Defenceman take longer to be NHL ready and he is not there yet. Maybe midseason callup, maybe next year, but to pencil him into the top 4 or even top 6 next year is risky. Lehtonen has never played in the NHL and could be just like Igor O. Nobody knows, I don't think Dubas wants to bet on unknowns. Better the devil you know than the devil you don't. Relying on Liljegren and Sandin to be your 3rd pair is a great way to get beat.

I'd rather sign an Johan Larsson to play some 3c then trade for somebody like Barbashev. There's lots of players who will be easier to get and less expensive. Also, Lawson Crouse is not very good. People loved him a junior but he's not worth what he's paid.

Sandin-Liljegren was the leafs best pairing for their first few games playing together. you have to give them the chance. Sandin is undoubtably ready for the callup, and crouse scored 17 goals in a shortened season, what an awful player right🤦🏼‍♂️

Best pairing based on what? Throwing two rookies into a 3rd pairing at the NHL level by a team trying to win the stanley cup is such a bad idea. Both had below-average results for offence and defence when they were on the ice, so not sure where you are getting this from.

You can score goals without being a good player. Crouse was a below average contributor both ways this year for Arizona (spectacularly so). But hey, you want to trade all of Toronto's draft capital and a great prospect for a 3rd liner with GRIT and a marginal upgrade in goalie. You should totally do it. Be proud of your choices.

Except Kuemper isn't just a «marginal» upgrade over Andersen lol, he's been significantly more valuable to his team than Freddy since the 18-19 season.

Last season he carried the Yotes when they had like 194726 injuries and as soon as he went down with an injury in 19-20 they started plummeting to the earth's crust

I am sure you have lots of stats to back that up, I don't know enough about goalie stats so hopefully you can post some examples I can use to catch up to your obviously superior level.

From what I have seen, Kuempfer is good. So is Andersen. Both have flaws. To say that the difference between them is worth this trade is ridiculous. You surely can not believe this is a proper valuation.

I'm almost positive I would take this, but at the same time I probably wouldn't because it drops our chances of signing Alex Pietrangelo.

Kuemper's GSAA and GSAx are light years ahead of Andersen.

Same thing for his GAA in 18-19 and 19-20
