So for months I've seen Eriksson, Demko and a 2nd, but obviously you guys don't wanna do that now. So what makes Dipietro worth more than Demko I think it should be Eriksson Dipietro a 2nd and maybe another late pick

I'd probably accept this as a wings fan if the pick coming with dipietro is a 2nd or 3rd

Just because Demko has improved doesn't mean we should lower our standards for taking Eriksson. If the lower limit Detroit fans could concede to was Demko and a 2nd, we should be looking to DiPietro and a 1st. Vancouver are betting on themselves, so that 1st should be in the 20s in a weak draft, that is reasonable, if not generous value.

The trades to rid Ericksson are becoming laughable. He Carrie's 6 million for TWO years and Canuck fans think they can unload him for pieces.

For 2 months they tried to unload Demko and a 2nd then it was a 3rd then it was for a future 3rd and now Demko plays well, and now it is an unproven goalie and a lower pick. Face facts, the cap is stagnant and league revenue is down. The Covid shut down has affected every team There are reports that teams are cutting back on management and other non player areas. Even if Ericksson makes less than his 6 million dollar cap hit he still cost real money for a player who is not very good any more. That means the team taking him now has to spend more to get another player who can play. With all that teams will need a sweetener that will offset the loss in revenue. Basic finance, but Canucks fans beleive take him off our hands because you have cap and we want to keep our team intact for another cup run.

I truly believe with all that is going on, Wings may stand pat and operate in their own system, build thru the draft and not take on any cap dumps to help the bottom line.

laugh laugh You're totally delusional if you think that Anthony Cirelli is taking a $4 million offer sheet in high taxed Canada, He will easily get $5 million in Tampa no freaking way he signs that garbage offer sheet. And fat chance of DiPietro+4th round pick get Detroit to take on Eriksson's contract that's just not happening.

IDK I think they will take on one bad contract to capitalize on picks.
