Carolina don't have the cap, or the want. 13th overall, Pesce, Geekie, Niederreiter for Marner and Cirelli? Makes no sense. Cirelli is a great defensive forward.... but so is Jordan Staal. Marner makes 3 mil too much, and Pesce is the only RD carolina have under extended Contract. You then want Carolina to give up 13OA, Geekie AND Nino? Yeah, no thanks.

Pens have DeSmith signed to an NHL contract to make available in the expansion draft, there is no need to take back anderson. I actually think TSN reported that was one of the reasons that Murray wasn't in the Kapanen deal, because Pittsburgh wasn't going to bring in Anderson.

Yes it works for the cap this year but it won’t next year when the canes sign svech and dougie. The max they could spend on a winger is 8 mil and that would be pushing it
