You will be paying someone to take fleury not the other way around. 7 mil for 2 more years is not a good contract. No way the canes give up their number 1 prospect for that

Either way none of those prospects are included in the deal. Fleury just isnt going to net much in return with that contract coming off a down season. I think vegas will have to retain salary and they might net a second rounder at best

Canes aren’t taking on his full contract. Even more so for a solid backup, a top 3 prospect, and a 2nd.

There isn’t any incentive there for the Canes

The assets for CAR to take on Fleury are on the wrong side. You’d need to retain or pay them to take that deal.
