Description
These would be bold moves, Mantha may not be feasible, but Id pick those player, and even include a 1st rounder if need be. Give lots to get him.

There was talk about Pittsburgh to move out Letang to free up cap space, Petry does that plus buys them a year to find someone to replace him long term. Petry's contract is up in a year and he'll probably sign out of Mtl. Might has well play him out with some prospects.

16M$ cap space next year for Gallagher, Lehk, KK and Poehling. I would trade Byron in the course of the year to bring up Caufield and give another 2M$ for the signings..

LAK give some 2nd rounders for a good player, we liberate cap space to get Hall and Shattenkirk.

We sign Brassard, Pitlick and Fast to round up our offense and give us good players with depth. Throw a big party for Letang indicating he's the prize player we've been looking for (for him to move in NTC) and we're set-up with a great mix of young players supported by great veterans.

Left wing is looking a little shallow after trading Tatar and Drouin.

Even so, this roster is a work of art.

Detroit declines, Not getting Mantha for those pieces. And Mantha gets at least 5 x 6.5m he's not signing that contract.

As a Pens fan I have to ask why you would want Letang over Petry given the cap difference? They have very similar offensive statistics and shot/chances impact at 5v5. Feels like you are trading for the older more expensive player just to make a trade.

How does Montreal lose every single trade? and spend all their cap in a projected flat cap for 2-3 seasons and potentially losing core guys to free agency?..

Mantha is a 25-25 player who is injury prone. he can stay on the dead wings for that price.

It's a QC thing... To get Mantha, Brassard, Mete, Letang and Ouellet back in QC would be one hell of a thing for fans. Something they've been asking for for a long time.

Letang would probably get back his legs with Mantha in the line-up knowing to win at home could potentially make him loved for 100 years in la belle Province...

It would also be a wink to the Pens in order to solidify future business. "Remember that time you were in the cap space and we helped out..." thing that does happen.

Just betting Poehling will rise up. He'll be in a contract year, may has well listen and work his butt off.

No way kings trade bjornfot and their 2nd. I don’t mind Drouin, but I don’t want to give up a defensive prospect, who showed some promise in his first couple NHL games and was fine in the AHL as an 18yo. Of all the kings prospects, it’s on D where it’s the thinnest.

I get that. Pens fans always want to get guys like JT Miller and Vince Trochek to return to Pittsburgh because they grew up in the area.

And Detroit is fine keeping Mantha it has and still is the plan. It would be greatly appreciated if you could get the Mantha to Montreal posts to stop since none of them are done by Detroit fans.

All that for 21 overall? I’m a fan of keeping the 1st unless we have a really good offer on the table, and, to be honest this is an overpayment, so yes

It's not what the fans want. This is just an Armchair GM for crying out loud. I based this on talks that have been reported, no actual facts about Detroit wanting Mantha out. He's a great player for them just basing on what "could be"..

Yeah I know. It's about getting cap space, and moving up in the picks. This is a good year so even if they 21st, they could potentially have someone in sight that could be a good pick for the future. So it's an over payment but it also helps the Jackets to accept.

Ok and until you have proof to back up your claims from a reputable source they are just lies.

the hell is wrong with you? I'm just basing this off of things that are out there.. It's just a freaking view of what I would trade? Not happy? Move on, do your own ask for 4 1st picks.. whatever.. the difference I won't go on your wall and start these types of conversations.. It's just speculation! ..

"YOU'RE WRONG THEY WOULD NOT ACCEPT THIS!" .. "OMG! Detroit pass on that" .. yeah.. who cares.. how about just throwing out "Well, if Detroit would move him, I'm thinking they would ask for .. "

My god.. so many trolls
