STL's 2nd or Mete & a late pick (I know he doesn't fit your needs but value-wise it would look like this)

STL 2nd sounds like a decent trade, I think I'd be inclined to accept that on the basis that we were to acquire Kuemper.

How about Graves + Francouz for Danault?

What would you offer for Francouz?

In picks, a late 2nd or early 3rd
In terms of Habs prospects, Brook, Ikonen or Olofsson.
In players, maybe Byron, though the cap hit might not make sense for the Avs.

Killorn has a 16 team NTC, whereby he can effectively choose his destination since there's only a handful of teams that can actually afford to take him on. The flat cap and Tampa's cap situation doesn't help them either.

Yeah I agree that TB might have to take a tad cheaper deal with him - but this offer is just poor. Two very low picks in not-so-deep draft for a good TOP-6 winger that just had the best year of his career seems like a complete steal to me.

At the very least he should garner a better return than Zadorov, and you seem adamant on him being worth 2nd and a 3rd, which is something I don't really agree with...

That's an interesting take. I think Arizona's priority will be to get back picks though, seeing as they don't have many high draft picks in 2020 or 2021. Montreal on the other hand have tonnes of draft picks and capspace so it makes more sense to get roster players rather than picks.

Jost would be an immediate upgrade on the Habs' middle six. Compher and Graves add depth, but wouldn't immediately bump anyone out. While Habs are building a solid development system, it's ranks are still pretty slim. Looking out to the post-Weber era, Montreal needs to hit a few home runs in the scouting department not to end up back as a so-so middle-of-the-pack team.

Thanks for pointing that out. For some reason I thought Hayes had been over 50 several times.

Nah, the Flyers over paid him just to stay because he openly didnt want to sign there. Danault wont get as much but think it depends on his situation on a team. Wants to be a top 2C, which he isnt on Colorado or MTL

Habs could offer more for Francouz, but they decline the Danault trade

I mean Habs just acquired Allen...wouldn't really offer much for Francouz lol

Not sure how often Killorn gets to update that list. It would be interesting to know. That said, teams often go back to players with NTCs and ask them to consider waiving it, which they usually do for a fee.

Killorn for a 2nd + 3rd seems to be a pretty solid consensus on capfriendly and hfboards, even among Tampa fans, though some do insist that he's worth a late 1st.

I'd be happy with 2nd and 3rd as a Tampa fan IF the picks were either a bit higher ones OR 2020 picks.

I'd really only be interested in the killorn trade and even with that i think we would target Palat from their team if we were going after someone.
I don't hate goalie trade, but i think it would be a deadline deal again, like what we did this year to see if we need to get a top tier goalie or if we just get another hutch for third string.
I don't think we need Dault because of his price tag and our pipeline, if he were to take around the same deal kadri has that wouldn't be bad but i doubt he takes under 5.
The main thing i wiould be worried about on this team is the D, thats a very young group of guys you got there and we want to make cup runs, not to say they're bad but i think we will need some experience on the back end for a long playoff run. I don't think there is a need to move away from both graves and zads, mostly because i don't see us resigning cole after his contract is done and both those guys fit into our system right now.
