We trade away to much to only get picks in return, that would hurt the lineup for the next few years. I think we are gonna have to go players for players trades. Like larsson for a 3rd line centre or fringe top 6 player.

That is a terribly lopsided deal for WPG... Ehlers & an oft injured Perrault for Nurse, Edm's #1 prospect and #14 in a deep 1st round draft
If thats the counter the deal is dead in the water

I would be surprised if WPG even bothered to counter the original offer, Ehlers is their most valuable skater

Colin Miller is such a bad defender. He would get absolutely MURDERED on a top pairing with Klefbom- a not-so-stout defender himself. In fact, that entire blueline would get exploited to hell.

ehlers is amazing and Nurse is really not that good.

I mean, I dont think Nurse is a bad. But hes a wreck defensively and WPG needs defensive defensemen. IMO a nurse for Ehlers swap isn't completely unrealistic but I would be shocked if Edmonton didn't have to add a lot
