Would love to see Dougie in Toronto, he's soft as hell and no shows in the playoffs when he faces Boston.....he'll fit right in with the Leafs.

What are they re-signing Hamilton for? By the next season the Leafs' would need to be trading on of the big 4.

This is not going to happen.

I don't see the Leafs making a splash. And I think the Leafs would be wise to have some cap room to play with rather than just being up to the limit again.

You are right. Toronto is not as good as Tampa. Guess who is also not as good as Tampa.

So you've constructed an unworkable 20 man roster with no cap. In what world do you think the Leafs have enough cap to sign Hamilton next season?

He won't get more than Pietrangelo (8-9M). Could easily trade off two of Johnsson, Kerfoot, even Nylander or Muzzin. You're getting a 27 year-old elite RHD. You make it work.

Canes with easy pass.

I truly love all the Toronto fans jumping on Montreal's propaganda from last year, the Canes are cheap and have to cut money.

I never said anything about Tampa lol....oh I see you were trying to take a shot at me because of Boston losing to Tampa. It was a good effort on your part, certainly better than the effort Toronto had vs Columbus in the qualifying round. The bright side though is the city of Toronto is finally hosting a playoff game past the first round...although there team isn't in it, on the downside the Islanders have won more series playing on Toronto ice than Tavares has laugh

He's had one elite season.....in 2010/20. So you have to trade NHL forwards and good futures just to sign Hamilton.....no thanks. And then there is illusion that you can sign him.
Canes, Blues, Nashville supposed have all these elite Dmen and other a great Dman core. Where did you really get them this season? Thinking a premier RHD is the panacea for the all Leafs problems....fantasy.

You know, you cannot shock me with things I would say myself. Do the leafs suck: yes, do they play bad defence: yes, are a lot of Leafs fans annoying: absolutley, should they trade Marner: absolutley

But what I don't get is why people make such a big deal of Tavares signing with Toronto. He is from the area. You don't have a lot of kids dreaming to become an Islander. The only reason he got there was because drafted by them. I might be far away from reality, but I actually enjoy players having the desire to play for their favourite team and not just for the one that pays the most money. For you, I'd hope that the Bruins get a lot of players who where always dreaming to become Bruins. Is that so wrong?

Because Tavares did clearly not sign for the money. Some teams had much better offers on the table.
