He’s better than Anderson. The reason why Anderson has so many starts was because who did they have as a backup? Hutchinson, then Campbell for a bit. Who did Colorado have? Francouz.

Avs can keep Grubauer if they want, they have the room for him. They arent going to throw more money at a 32 year old goalie in Freddie who cant get over his own issues to be a reliable goalie int eh playoffs

They need a veteran LHD that is either a UFA or on a short-term deal. Someone like Nick Leddy or Nic Hjalmarsson, both have fewer than 2 seasons remaining on their contracts and wouldn't get a protection slot in next summer's expansion draft. Ryan Murray was also mentioned as a possibility by Lisa Dillman on The Athletic today, although I think his injury history makes him an unlikely target.

The reason why they need a LHD is because the left side is "very young" and they want a veteran presence to mentor the kids and play big minutes next to Doughty. 23-year old Dermott doesn't help with that. They already have a stable of young guys to choose from, including Bjornfot, Anderson, Clague, MacDermid, Brickley, & Hults.

As a Leafs fan I wholeheartedly agree.

In defence of my people though, we're angry, tired, desperate and trapped in a 50+ years abusive relationship with the team we love. It makes us all kind of stupid.
