Serious question, not trying to be negative or anything.

Why do so many Canucks ACGMs have that Dickinson for Holl trade? Is it based on a rumour or did one guy do it and everyone else was like yeah, I like it.

Because I don't see the benefit for the Leafs. Will give you Holl, hell you can probably have him for free. But we want to trade him to shed salary. Dickinson makes more than Holl and we have cheaper internal options at LW.

Just curious.

I do think if the Leafs choose to move Holl, it should not be too difficult to move him and get something. Just not sure what or who.

A lot of these moves are fair, but I'm not sure if they work for you.

Like the Leafs Trade. A guy who's proven he can contribute at the NHL on a bottom pairing for a prospect who is unproven but has a much higher ceiling. Not a bad deal but the Isles are better off being a little patient with Wilde and the Leafs are better off keeping the proven guy right now as they desperately try for some immediate playoff success.

Or the sens trade. Brown is a really good player, but I don't think he's your 1RW answer and Ottawa values him very highly. I don't think Brown gets traded unless you're overpaying for him.

Fair trades, certainly better than anything I can come up with, but I don't think this is it. For you. As a Leafs fan, I'd take that.

We don't need help figuring that out. It's less planned and more of a fluid improvisational approach. How we collapse is like an improv class. You know it's going to be a disaster, just not <em>how</em> it's going to be a disaster.

Still. Barrie in Toronto was such a bad fit that Edmonton would have to do something ridiculous like add McDavid for the Leafs to do it.
