Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

A surplus of left-handed forwards (and left-handed defensemen) suggests to me that we might make a trade for a RW or RD.

I'm pairing the rookie with our best two-way forwards, but Eakins might want to put him with Henrique and Heinen so that we have the option of an experienced center to take draws when the situation calls for it.

Cap space for the team shown is exactly $5.8 million. Potential call-ups or 9-game auditions are shown on the IR.

Only the following are exempt from the expansion draft: Zegras, Comtois, Tracey, Kindopp and Curran.

Special Note to Toronto Maple Leafs fans: Please look at this roster closely, and then stop trading us Andreas Johnsson, Alex Kerfoot or Travis Dermott.

A Manson deal doesn't work because both teams need RD. Agreed for sure.

I'd be skeptical of throwing Zegras right into the fire at 2C like that. He'll probably grow into that role over the course of the year at least, but to start I'd construct my roster around him being 3C ready so you don't have to rush him into the role - which you've done by keeping Henrique, which is smart imo.

Not with Guhle, Mahura, Thurn and Larsson, Ducks absolutely do not need Dermott or any other bottom 4 LHD

You know they can’t help themselves. They throw those players onto teams that literally already have those Types of players on their own team but they gain the pieces they need. It’s leaf fans logic. Take our crap so we get the better or cheaper player

I hope he gets regular time this season, I see the third pair being a rotation between Djoos, Hakanpaa and Curran. 3 interesting players to watch imo I see Larsson and perhaps Guhle being moved out for RHD/RWs this off season

I can understand where you are coming from, but if your forward group is so set and nothing is needed, why are you picking so high in the draft? There is always room for improvements but if that's your stand I get it.

Whether our forward group is set is an entirely separate issue from whether Johnsson or Kerfoot would be an improvement on any of them, which they would not. I didn't say that there isn't room for improvement. I said that neither Johnsson nor Kerfoot would be that improvement. I expect Maxime Comtois, Braden Tracey, Isac Lundestrom and perhaps the guy we pick at #6 overall (if he's not Jamie Drysdale) to be significant improvements over Johnsson and Kerfoot. And if Boston loses to Tampa, the guy we pick at #27 could be an improvement, too.
